Brett Allen Barchus, 21 of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Fostoria.

He was born October 19, 1997 in Fostoria to his mother, April May (Alan M. Woessner) (Sines) Cox, who survives in Fostoria, and his father, Todd Michael (Samantha) Barchus Sr., who survives in Tennessee.

Also surviving is his son, Emmett Barchus of Fostoria; his girlfriend, Renae L. Thompson of Fostoria; brother and sisters, Todd Michael Barchus Jr., Jason William Barchus, Michael Todd (Cinnamon) Barchus, Sierra Barchus, Trevor Barchus and Breanna Barchus, all of Fostoria, and Alexsys Barchus of Tennessee; paternal grandmother, Sharon Heilman of Fostoria; eleven nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and step-father, Brian Cox of Wharton.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert Barchus; and maternal grandparents, George and Gladys Loy.

Brett was a 2016 graduate of Fostoria High School, where he played Redmen Football. He enjoyed skate boarding and his Xbox. He was very outgoing and had a strong sense of humor. People loved Brett; he will be fondly remembered for his blue eyes and infectious smile.

Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830.

Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at HOENING FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jamie McCaskill presiding. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia.
