Apple Disposal Services sold to Rumpke

FOSTORIA — Starting this week, Apple Disposal Services, LLC customers will be picked up by Rumpke Waste and Recycling. The Fostoria waste hauler has sold certain waste collection assets to fellow family-owned company Rumpke, including its residential and commercial customers. "Over the years, our goal and focus remained on providing you with the best service possible," said Steven Apple, owner of Apple Disposal Services, LLC. "Today, our family has decided to close this chapter and sell our business to Rumpke, another family-owned and operated company. This has been a difficult decision, but we feel confident that Rumpke will continue to provide you with the excellent service you are accustomed to." Rumpke, which is headquartered in Cincinnati and has additional operations in Columbus, Circleville, Crawford County, Lima, Delaware and Findlay, will now service the Apple Disposal Services, LLC customers. "We've been working very closely with the Apple Disposal team to ensure a smooth service transition for customers," said Mark O'Brien, region vice president. "We're very excited to serve the customers of Fostoria including Hancock, Seneca and Wood counties." Rumpke service will continue at the same monthly rates, and customers will be billed either monthly or quarterly in advance. Customers will soon receive a mailer from Apple Disposal Services, LLC and Rumpke explaining additional details of the transition.
