H-L girls win Colonial tournament

HARROD – Hopewell-Loudon got an 83 from runner-up individual Marissa Cline, and Jenna Brown also gave a strong performance as the Chieftains won the Seventh Annual Colonial Golfers Club Tournament in Herold. The Chieftain girls placed first in the event with a 399, 34 strokes better than runner-up Minster. Brown shot an 88 for H-L, placing fifth. Lima Central Catholic's Bridget Mulcahy topped Cline by seven strokes for medalist honors, shooting a 76. Notre Dame (426) placed third, while Parkway took fourth in ther 15-team tournament. Upper Sandusky placed seventh (451) and Carey 10th (495). The Rams were led by Liv Gier's 86. Gier placed fourth as an individual. Carey's Adisyn Kramer's 107 topped the Blue Devils.
