Level 2 snow emergencies slow morning traffic

With Seneca, Hancock and Wood counties all being under a level 2 snow emergency, Monday morning commutes are slow. This photo was taken on Ohio 199 near U.S. 6 this morning. Snow is drifting into the southbound lane, particularly north of U.S.6.  Sections of the road are covered in either snow or ice, sometimes both.  Most vehicles were traveling about 35-40 mph on Ohio 199.
LEVEL 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.
