Arrests In Deadly Ohio New Year’s Eve Shooting

BARBERTON, Ohio (AP) — Police say two brothers have been arrested in connection with a New Year’s Eve robbery and shooting that left three people dead in northeast Ohio.

Police in Barberton say the suspects were looking for drugs and money when they went to the house the night of the shootings.

Arrested Friday and being held in Summit County Jail were 22-year-old Michael Hendon and 30-year-old Eric Hendon. The men didn’t appear to have attorneys yet.

Police say the brothers, who are from Akron, are each charged with three counts of aggravated murder.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s office says one of the victims, John Kohler, died Friday afternoon.

Police say his children died at the house Tuesday night after the shooting.
