Woman Dies In Head-on Crash In Southern Ohio

WEST UNION, Ohio (AP) — The State Highway Patrol says a 68-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in southern Ohio on New Year’s Day.

The Cincinnati Enquirer ( ) reports that Phyllis Walls died when her car struck an oncoming vehicle in Adams County at about 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The patrol said Walls’ vehicle strayed from the right side of the road and hit an oncoming car driven by 69-year-old Mary Channel. She was taken to a hospital in Cincinnati, but her condition wasn’t available.
