Marilyn Jean (Arnet) Lang, 86 of Fostoria, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

She was born February 29, 1932 in Arcadia to the late John and Helen (Bame) Arnet. She married Charles F. “Chuck” Lang on June 7, 1958 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1995.

Surviving are her children, Patty Hickle of Fostoria, Pam (Glenn) Holman of Fostoria, John (Kim) Lang of Fostoria, Sue (Marty) Flipse of Pemberville, Steve (Lisa Materni) Lang of Perrysburg, Michael (Joanne) Cook of North Baltimore and Roxanne (Marvin) McAfee of Fostoria; grandchildren, Cody Holman, Chloe Holman, Christopher (Katie) Lang, Cory (Sarah) Lang, Cyle Lang, Casey Lang, Adam Tiell, Alex Tiell, Josh Flipse, Michael Flipse, Alexa Lang, Andrew Lang, Nicholas Lang, Matthew Lang, Blake Romstadt and Sydney Lang; great-grandchildren, Dereck (Emily) Ishmael, Wade (Courtney) Ishmael, Dalton Ishmael, Haley Caldwell-Cook, Catlin Cook, Paige McAfee, Austin McAfee, Ethan Claybaugh, Destiny McAfee, Isabelle Lang, Nicholas Lang, Alexandria Lang, Edward Lang, Lennon Gonzalez, Marley Lang, Averie Tiell, Melanie Tiell, Ryan Tiell, Isaiah Lang and Elijah Lang; great-great grandchildren, Alivia Cole, Quinn Ishmael, Nolan Ishmael and Tayvian Philon; and two sisters, Barb (Bill) Lucas of Findlay and Pat (Bob) Wood of Florida.

Marilyn was called “grandma” by many others.

A 1950 graduate of Arcadia High School, Marilyn was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. She previously worked for Ohio Oil, now Marathon Petroleum, and later retired from Marley & Marley Law Office in Fostoria. Marilyn was also a Salvation Army Free Store Volunteer.

Visitation will take place Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St. in Fostoria.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Todd Dominique presiding. Burial will follow in Arcadia Cemetery.
