JoAnn Goddard, 74 of Findlay, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born December 4, 1943 in Fostoria to Leonard & Carolyn (Corwin) Jackson Sr. She married William “Bill” Goddard May 19, 1972 in Tiffin. He died December 19, 2017.
JoAnn is survived by her sisters, Betty Lou Jackson (Sue Bright), Bonnie Jean Jackson, Susan Jackson-Hedrick and many many generations of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her parents; husband, Bill Goddard, the love of her life; siblings, Leonard E. “Tim” Jackson, Diana Lynne, Tommy Lee Jackson; and her beloved dogs, Candy and Sheba.
JoAnn retired after 42 years as a RN. She worked many places in the area and retired from the Independence House, Fostoria. She was a member of The Shores United Methodist Church of St. Augustine. She was a 1961 graduate of Fostoria High School and also went on to graduate from the Maumee Valley School of Nursing.
She was a member of the Moose & Sportsmen Club, an avid bowler and was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association. She enjoyed time spent with her “Lunch Bunch” classmates, swimming, and playing games, especially Fascination at Cedar Point. JoAnn was also a breast cancer survivor.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Chaplain Tomas Pistora officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
