Homer Kenneth Kiser, age 78, of Helena, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday (February 3, 2018) in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 16, 1939 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to the late Homer S. and Leona (Ringle) Kiser. He married Phyllis K. Curry on June 30, 1963 at Scott-Trinity United Methodist Church near Risingsun, Ohio.
Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years Phyllis; daughters, Julie (James) Shull of Helena, Ohio, Becky (William) Gaskin of Bettsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Melissa Gaskin, Brandon Hoffman, Clay Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Keygan, Willow & Axel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Leona; brother, Harley; sister, Patricia.
Homer retired August 1, 2001 from Autolite in Fostoria, Ohio. He enjoyed working on and pulling garden tractors for many years, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. The family of Homer would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Amber Graber who provided special care for him over the last few weeks and months of his illness.
Friends will be received from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday (February 7, 2018) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (February 7, 2018) with Pastor Marla Brown officiating. Burial will be at Scott-Trintiy Cemetery near Risingsun, Ohio.
