Carolyn E. (Baker) House, 92, formerly of Fostoria, Piqua and Dayton, OH, went to be with the Lord at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Dorothy Love Assisted Living, Sidney, OH.
She was born December 21, 1924 in Cleveland to the late McClem Nicholas and Nana Elizabeth (Miller) Baker.
Surviving are three sons, Earl House Jr. of Germantown, Guy (Mary) House of Troy and Scott House of Celina; a sister, Doris Smith of Cincinnati; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Franklin, Clem, Elmer, Wilbur and Edward Baker; and three sisters, Nina Smarr, Edith Hankey and Jenny Roberts.
Carolyn was a homemaker and member of Hillsdale Southern Baptist Church in St. Marys. She had been a volunteer at Auglaize Acres Wapakoneta, OH, and had a passion for music and loved to sing.
Visitation will take place Monday, September 11, 2017 from 12-12:45 p.m. at HOENING FUNERAL HOME 242 W. Tiffin Street, Fostoria. A procession will follow to the Veterans Memorial Chapel of Fountain Cemetery, where graveside committal services will take place at 1 p.m. with Pastor William Bentley presiding.
Burial will follow in Fountain Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Samaritan’s Purse or a charity of the donor’s choice c/o Hoening Funeral Home.
