Phyllis Irene Hahn, 75 of Fostoria, passed away on July 17, 2017 in San Jose, CA. She was surrounded by loved ones in her final days.
Phyllis was born to Harley Noel Dunipace and Margaret “Myrt” (Schivelbein) Dunipace in Scotch Ridge, OH. She married Lawrence “Larry” Hahn on November 12, 1960 in Monroe, MI, and honeymooned in Niagara Falls. Larry and Phyllis were married for 52 years before his passing on July 19, 2013.
Phyllis was well loved. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Fostoria Garden Club and volunteered at Fostoria Hospital Gift Shop. Her loves included God, her family, friends and flowers. She thoroughly enjoyed her time with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially Michael and Mason of Fostoria.
She was deeply connected to the community and made many friends. Phyllis taught Sunday School and had worked as a Rural Carrier for the USPS for many years.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; and her son, Randall “Randy” Hahn.
She is survived by Rita Dunipace (David Rosen) of Boston, MA, Gordon Dunipace (Terri) of Toledo, OH, Gail Steelher (Jack) of Salem, VA, Dean Dunipace (Karen) of Antioch, CA; her children, Pamela Rogers (Bill) of Hollister, CA, Lance Hahn (Gabriel Barash) of San Luis Obispo, CA, Phillip Hahn of Spring, TX, and Michael Hahn (Angela) of Fostoria, OH; her grandchildren, Laura Baker (Burnett), Christina Galvan, Tony Galvan (Cindy Loeser), Zahara Hahn, Noah Hahn, Lexi Hahn, Michael Hahn and Mason Hahn; and great grandchildren, Lance, Courtney, Blake and Audra.
A memorial will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1200 Van Buren St., Fostoria, Ohio, followed by graveside service at Fostoria Fountain Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church.
