Edith V. Jones, 100 of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Fostoria, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, OH.
She was born March 2, 1917 in Kirby, Ohio, to John and Margaret (Karch) Holzwart. She married Alfred H. Jones on February 20, 1937 in Paris, KY. Alfred died in 1992.
Surviving is son, Ron (Jeannie) Jones of Findlay; daughters, Gail E. (Glen) Wildman of Fostoria and Colleen Tyson of Fostoria; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Harley, George and Irvin Holzwart.
She was a Homemaker and a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria.
Edith enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and hunting in her early years. She also liked sewing, canning and baking. Edith was known for her excellent pies and entered them at the fairs. She always hosted all the holidays at her home. She loved her church, friends and family.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria, Ohio, with Reverend Dr. Larry Knigga officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, Ohio, and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia, Ohio.
Memorials can be made to the Hope Lutheran Church.
