Andrea Kay Klopp, 70, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, March 13th surrounded by family at St. Catherine’s Manor of Fostoria. Born July 30, 1946 to the late Robert C. Frehse and Elsea M. (Joabson) Frehse. Andrea married Richard L. Cook in 1968 and were married for 24 years having 4 children together before divorcing. Later, she married Andrew (Kit) Klopp who passed away in 2004.
Andrea graduated from Fostoria High School in 1964 and retired after more than 30 years from Columbia Gas of Ohio. She was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, VFW, and DAV where she enjoyed being social and attending the many events these clubs offered until her health declined over the past few years. She was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan and in her spare time, loved to do cross stitch. Andrea did many projects for family, friends, and the clubs she belonged to including holiday decorations that you still may see occasionally.
Andrea is survived by her 4 children, Chandra Frost of Findlay, Kendra (David) Howard of Dayton, Richard Cook of Findlay, and Debra England also of Findlay. As well as 9 grandchildren who she loved very much, Brittny Howard, Brianna Howard, Kaitlyn Frost, Cameron Frost, Brice Engard, Alec Engard, Alexis Cook, Kyler Frost, and Amelia Cook.
The family of Andrea would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of St. Catherine’s Manor for all of the loving support and care they gave her for the past year and a half as well as to the staff of Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay for the last few months of her life.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 2:00 “” 4:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Andrea’s name to Bridge Home Health and Hospice. Online condolences may be sent to:
