Agnes M. Spitzer

Agnes Matilda Spitzer, 92 of Fostoria, passed away Thursday morning, May 26, 2016 at her home.
She was born December 1, 1923 in Litchfield, Ohio to the late Frank and Clara (Haumesser) Kasper. She married Richard D. Spitzer on March 2, 1946 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Cleveland and he died May 18, 1993.
Surviving are children, Sandra Slack of Findlay, Terry (Cheryl) Spitzer of Birmingham, AL, Cary Spitzer of Fostoria, Jeffrey Spitzer of Fostoria and Scott (Lorie) Spitzer of Madison, AL; 13 grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Spitzer, Pharm D, of North Canton, OH, Amanda Spitzer RN, of Asheville, NC, Jeremy (Lydia) Spitzer of Mobile, AL, Nicole Mabry, Mikey (Katie) Spitzer, Dustin (Kimberly) Spitzer, Danielle Spitzer, Sadee Spitzer, Arick Spitzer and Joshua Spitzer, all of Birmingham, AL, Sara (John) Campbell of Louisville, KY and Richie Slack and Patrick Slack , both of Findlay; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Helen Spitzer and Alice Carmen; and son-in-law, William Slack.
Agnes was a housewife and homemaker and one of the best ever! She was an active member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and enjoyed being part of the prayer group and all of those in it. Her passions were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with cheering on Ohio State, the Browns, Indians and Cavs!
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria with the Rev. Todd Dominique presiding. A luncheon and gathering will follow the Funeral Mass in the Church Parish Hall. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Bill Slack Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o The Community Foundation, Findlay/Hancock County.
