James H. “Skinny” Walter, 57 of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born October 28, 1956 in Fostoria, Ohio to Berton and Lois (Underhill) Walter. He married Shae L. Cooper on July 1, 1979 in Fostoria, Ohio and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are son, T.J. Walter of Fostoria; daughter, Kari (Christopher) Clagg of Fostoria; sisters, Paula Frankart and Patricia Bovia of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Tyson and Avery Walter, and Soleil and Rowen Clagg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by her parents.
Jim was employed at Whirlpool Corp. in Findlay and was formerly employed in the bindery dept. at Gray Printing Co. for over 25 years. He graduated from Fostoria High School in 1974 and attended Owens Community College.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Fostoria.
Jim was an active musician, he played the guitar, wrote and recorded music. He loved his family, his grandchildren were his world.
Memorial services will be Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
