Duane H. Dippelhofer, 83, of Fostoria, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. He was born on July 29, 1930 to the late Arden and Ina (Peters) Dippelhofer. On November 30, 1954,
Duane married Bonnie Desgrange and she preceded him in death on September 15, 2012.
Duane is survived by his children, Joseph (Diane) Dippelhofer, of Findlay, Robert Dippelhofer, of Huthinson, Kan., and Terry Barton, of Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Andrew Dippelhofer.
Duane graduated in 1948 from Arcadia High School and worked for Mennel Milling as a truck driver. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Duane and Bonnie loved to travel and visited all 50 states.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Bishop Terry McBeath will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, West Independence, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
