MARION — Lakota sophomore Kyleigh Dull finished third in her age group and fourth overall after carding a 75 on Tuesday in the second round of the Ohio Junior Girls Golf Championship at the Marion Country Club.
Dull finished with a 74-75–149 total in the two-day event. She actually tied Helena’s Sydney Leyerle (74-75–149) and Canton’s Madison Reemsnyder (78-71–149) for first in the 14-15 age division, but was relagated to third in the final rankings by a scorecard playoff.
Galena’s Leila Raines fired a 68 on Tuesday, posted a 146 total and overcame an 8-stroke deficit to not only win the 16-18 division, but the 2018 Ohio Junior Girls Golf Championship as well. Raines tied first-round leader Emily Hummer (70-76–146) of Columbus, then won a two-hole playoff for the title.
Grace Miller, who will be a sophomore at Kalida High School, posted a 93-98–191 total and finished 75th overall.
Sophia Canale of Fairlawn recorded the first hole-in-one in the 42-year history of the OJGGC when she sunk her tee shot on the 128-yard 12th hole.
