Girls basketball: Arcadia pounds USV behind Pratt’s double-double

McGUFFEY — Arcadia’s Kennedy Pratt notched a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds to help the Redskins throttle Upper Scioto Valley 56-33 in a nonleague girls basketball contest Saturday.
Samantha Watkins and Danielle Burnett each chipped in nine points for Arcadia, which improved to 17-3 overall.
Kaycee Carroll’s 11 points and five rebounds led the Rams (5-16).

TIFFIN — Old Fort jumped out to a 24-7 halftime lead over Tiffin Calvert and cruised to a 40-23 girls basketball win in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division action on Saturday.
Whitney Bilger’s game-high 14 points led Old Fort (8-12, 5-5 SBC River). Madisyn Spencer added eight points and eight boards while Morgan Miller chipped in seven points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
Shelby Hemminger’s 12 points led Tiffin Calvert (5-15, 0-8 SBC River).

GENOA — MaKayla Elmore led the game in scoring and rebounding as Hopewell-Loudon posted a 69-41 win over Genoa in Saturday’s nonleague girls basketball play.
Elmore poured in a game-high 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds with three assists and three steals for the Chieftains (16-4).
Jacquelyn Burns added 15 points and seven rebounds and Emily Pace led H-L with four steals.
Caitlin Cruickshank paced the Comets (4-15) with 14 points and Tatum Neumann, despite shooting 0 of 13 from the field, sank 13 of 16 free throws for 13 points.
