Boys basketball: Elmwood’s big rally tops Gibsonburg

BLOOMDALE — Elmwood trailed by 12 at halftime before blitzing Gibsonburg in the second half for a 63-55 nonconference boys basketball win over the Golden Bears on Tuesday.
Elmwood (1-1) trailed 34-22 at halftime before outscoring Gibsonburg (0-1) 41-21 in the second half to get the win.
Matthew Cline led the way for the Royals with 14 points. Clay Stearns and Brock Reinhard both scored 10 points while Zach Weiss grabbed 10 rebounds.
Gibsonburg’s Josh Ernsthausen led all scorers with 17 points. Jake Foster popped in 16 points and Addison Weaver chipped in 14.
