Prep Volleyball: Vanlue rallies past C-R in BVC match

RAWSON — As both teams searched for its first Blanchard Valley Conference win of the season, Sami Hauserman scored a team-high 20 points to help rally Vanlue to a 21-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-14 conference victory over Cory-Rawson Wednesday night.
The triumph leaves Vanlue 2-13 overall and 1-7 in the BVC. Cory-Rawson falls to 2-12 overall and 0-8 in the conference.
Chloe Kromer scored 13 points, while leading the Wildcats with 10 kills. Amanda Clymer added team highs of 23 serve receptions and 10 blocks for Vanlue.
The Hornets were led by Abby Rosendale’s 16 kills, two blocks and 10 assists (38 of 39 setting).

ARCADIA — Alexis Feindel served for nine aces and Brooklyn Arbogast knocked down nine kills as Hopewell-Loudon beat Arcadia 25-14, 27-25, 19-25, 25-20 on Wednesday in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match.
All of the points for which Feindel served came through aces, and she also registered eight kills. Arbogast added three blocks, and Hailey Coppus and Jacque Burns recorded 18 and 16 assists, respectively, for the Chieftains (6-12, 4-4 BVC).
Alexandra Metcalfe, Sarah Ball and Tori Green each had nine kills, with Metcalfe adding three aces as the Redskins slipped to 4-13 and 1-7. Hailey Kieffer distributed 20 assists, and Brittney Nye had 28 serve receptions and 22 digs.

SANDUSKY — Brianna Gillig tallied 24 kills, 18 digs and a pair of blocks Tuesday night to pace New Riegel to a 25-14, 25-18, 22-25, 25-13 victory over Sandusky St. Mary’s in Sandusky River League play.
Lindsay Bouillon notched 30 assists and four aces and Leah Bouillon made 24 digs as the Blue Jackets raised their record to 9-6 overall and 5-1 in the SRL.
