Holman to fill two spots at Arcadia

ARCADIA — The Arcadia school board Wednesday hired a new athletic director who also will become the district’s boys basketball coach.
C.J. Holman was offered a pair of supplemental contracts to fill both positions.
Holman, a 2008 Arcadia High School alumnus, will replace outgoing athletic director Dave Uitto and former boys basketball coach Cara Noel.
“It means a lot,” Holman said of the opportunities. “I put a lot of hard work in when I was in school. It’s great to come back now, older, and be able to give the same work ethic and give back to the kids that are there now. I hope I can give them the same opportunities that I had for success when I was in school.”
Holman spent last season as an assistant coach under Noel after earning his undergraduate degree in physical education at Ohio State.
He said he is looking forward to helping bring the same level of success to the boys athletic programs as the girls have experienced in recent years.
