Dryfuse, New Riegel drub Vanlue

NEW RIEGEL — Jake Dryfuse pumped in 21 points and made three steals as New Riegel knocked off Vanlue 64-50 Saturday night in a nonconference game.
The Blue Jackets (7-9) outscored Vanlue 40-24 in the second half after trailing 26-24 at halftime. Tim Ink and Michael Kirian each added 14 points and seven rebounds for New Riegel, with Ink also passing for three assists. Grant Lescallet had seven rebounds and Aaron Acree had four assists.
Austin Smith and Nick Hagerty scored 21 and 15 points, respectively, for Vanlue (6-12). Hagerty and Colton Huston snared five rebounds apiece.
New Riegel won the junior varsity game 51-18 as Alex Theis and Devin Reinhart scored 12 points apiece.

BASCOM — Ryan Lommerse finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots as Hopewell-Loudon nipped Cory-Rawson 48-44 Saturday night in nonleague play.
The Chieftains (11-8) held a 32-29 edge on the boards and were 14 of 20 (70 percent) at the foul line.
Garret Sendelbach added 12 points and seven rebounds for Hopewell-Loudon.
Matthew Alspach netted 17 points and Grant Risner had 15 points, 10 rebounds and four assists for Cory-Rawson (3-13).
Hopewell-Loudon won the junior varsity contest 40-28 behind Kyle Reinbolt’s 15 points.

Boysel scored 16 points and Byers had 11. Wauseon outscored Elmwood 40-13 in the second half after leading 20-15 at halftime.
Aaron Arnold scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds to lead Elmwood (4-14). Deven Peter passed for five assists.

Ryan Lommerse nearly had a double-double for the Chieftains (10-8 overall, 6-2 MAL) with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Jacob Frost made five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers, while Chad Wright grabbed nine rebounds.
