The Seneca County commissioners will conduct a work session at 9:30 a.m. today prior to their regular meeting at 10 a.m.
County Administrator Stacy Wilson told the Review Times Monday the work session will involve a discussion on the Wolf Creek clean-up project currently underway in Jackson and Liberty townships, between Fostoria and Bettsville.
During the regular session, Charlene Watkins, executive director of Seneca Regional Planning Commission, will discuss the county’s Comprehensive Plan that is being initiated by Watkins’ agency.
Joy Padgett of the Ohio Environmental Agency is also scheduled to speak during today’s regular meeting. Wilson said while she was not sure of the exact nature of the discussion, it is at the request of Commissioner Shayne Thomas.
Commissioners are to vote on a recommendation from the county’s Tax Incentive Review Council regarding enterprise zone and community reinvestment area tax abatements for companies in the county for tax year 2017.
Also listed on the meeting agenda for consideration is a service contract between the county’s common pleas courts, the juvenile court, and the clerk of courts on behalf of the county’s Department of Jobs and Family Services.
Several supplemental appropriations, including one in the amount of $40,000 for the county’s general fund for contractual services, are expected to be voted on by the commissioners.
The meeting is being conducted at the Commissioners Office, located at 111 Madison St., Tiffin.
