Megan Hossler, preschool paraprofessional at Longfellow School, helps kindergarten student Bryce Holman place a colorful blob of glittery red slime Thursday afternoon inside Tammy Helberg’s classroom. Helberg discovered the activity online and thought it would be an opportunity for her new students to have some fun early on in the school year. To make the slime, the youngsters used Elmer’s glue, baking soda, contact solution, food coloring and glitter. All of the ingredients were mixed into a plastic container and molded into the gooey concoction by the students.
