Olivia Yoakam, 8, pets Tuscan, a live snake, Tuesday at the Kaubisch Memorial Public Library as Collin Yoakam, 11, and other children wait their turn. Representatives from the Toledo Zoo visited the library as part of the library’s Summer Reading Program. Children also had the opportunity to pet a Norwegian Hooded Rat; learned about the food chain in different environments and the difference between herbivores, omnivores and carnivores; and felt the pelts of a fox and a bobcat.
