Mason Reinhart, 6, grins as he tries on firefighter Robert Payne’s gear Tuesday morning at the Fostoria Fire Division station. Reinhart and other children in Safety Town visited the fire station to learn about fire safety. They also were given the opportunity to sit in a fire truck and an ambulance, have their blood pressure/pulse taken, and were given a tour of the station. Throughout the two-week safety course, the children have learned about street signs and car safety, railroad safety, water safety, bus, bike and pedestrian safety, home safety and playground safety. Today they will learn about stranger awareness. The course will end with graduation Friday.
