Clark gets life sentence in Carey murders

Richard L. Clark Jr. will spend the rest of his life in prison for fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend and another man inside a Carey clubhouse.
Clark, 65, of rural Tiffin, was sentenced this morning on two counts of aggravated murder in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court.
“Your honor, this was not a crime of passion; it was a crime of possession,” said Wyandot County Prosecutor Jonathan Miller.
Clark admitted killing Roger Fredritz, 49, of rural Carey, and Cynthia Hawkinberry, 49, of rural Tiffin, on Nov. 1 inside the Carey Conservation and Sportsman’s Association clubhouse.
