Fostoria man arrested for threatening harm

A Fostoria man was arrested Monday evening after allegedly threatening to harm people with a stick at Nye’s Trailer Park.
Juan F. Hernandez, 61, 717 Lynn St., was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and two counts of disorderly conduct following an incident at Nye’s Trailer Park, 1521 N. Countyline St., shortly after 6 p.m. Monday.
According to a Fostoria Police Department report, Fostoria Police Officer Brett Bethel responded to the location at 6:18 p.m. for a report of a man threatening to harm people with a stick.
The report states Hernandez was taken into custody and refused to acknowledge his Miranda rights due to intoxication.
The report also states that Hernandez was kicking the windows and the divider of the squad car.
Additionally, Fostoria Police Officer Lucas Elchert confiscated the stick Hernandez was allegedly using as a weapon.
No other information on the incident was available and a call placed to Fostoria Police Capt. Patrick Brooks was not returned by presstime.
