A Tiffin man was arrested Friday for allegedly attempting to elude an officer during a traffic stop in Fostoria.
Charles L. Amburgey, 41, Tiffin, was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business Friday afternoon during a traffic stop in the 8000-block of West Ohio 18.
According to Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Nowak, Amburgey was arrested after Nowak attempted to make a routine traffic stop near Hopewell Estates on West Ohio 18.
Nowak said the offender then pulled into Hopewell Estates, attempting to elude the traffic stop. When he confronted Amburgey, the deputy said he claimed he lived at the complex.
In addition to the obstructing official business charge, Amburgey is also being charged with driving under suspension, speeding and fictitious plates.
