A Bradner man accused of raping a young girl in 2012 was sentenced to 17 months in prison last week.
David M. Grilliot, 41, of Bradner, was sentenced to 17 months in Wood County Court of Common Pleas March 31 on the fourth-degree felony charge. He was arrested Oct. 19, 2012 and initially indicted on a first-degree felony charge of rape for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl in July 2012.
According to a clerk of courts representative, Grilliot was also ordered to register as a Tier III sex offender.
This is not the first time Grilliot has been charged with a sex-related crime. According to court records, he was charged with gross sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor, back in 1991 but the case was dismissed.
