One Fostoria resident is facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia following a traffic stop at the intersection of North Vine and Van Buren streets Thursday.
According to Fostoria Police Capt. Patrick Brooks, Officer Cory Brian was conducting a traffic stop shortly before 11 a.m. when he found marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia on Zackary Spires.
Brian was issuing Spires, 19, 343 Watson Ave., citations for a turn signal violation and a seat belt violation when he found the alleged items, according to police reports.
Spires was then cited and charged with a minor misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. According to Brooks, he was cited for possession of marijuana paraphernalia and charges for that offense are pending.
