I’m not one to usually complain about events like train shows where things just don’t seem to go right but in this case, I have to make a bit of an exception. I attended the train show in Columbus on the 13th and it was bad. 🙁
There were some layouts… about six of them but they were spaced out so far that the hall at the fairgrounds looked kind of empty. As far as the vendors’ area was concerned, they were spaced out so far to make the show look more full. I didn’t count them but doubt if there were more than about 25 or so. To top it off, there was a charge for parking which we avoided because my wife dropped me off at the door plus a $10 admission fee. Yes, ten bucks for a really half-rate show.
It’s one thing to go to a nice show and not find something that you want but to go to something like that one, pay ten bucks and not even have much to look at… let’s just say I won’t be going back until I hear that it is much bigger & better than it was this time.
