Fostorian hospitalized after U.S. 224 crash

ARCADIA A Fostoria woman was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital following a two-vehicle collision Friday night at the intersection of U.S. 224 and Hancock County 330, south of Arcadia.
Gloria Yarbrough, 72, of Fostoria, the driver of one vehicle, was taken to the hospital by Hanco Ambulance, the Hancock County Sheriffs Office reported.
Jeffrey Welty, 44, of Tiffin, the driver of the second vehicle, and his passenger, Kersten Smith, 44, were both treated at the accident scene, the sheriffs office said.
Yarbrough was eastbound on U.S. 224 in a 2017 Toyota when she tried to turn left onto County 330 at 6:12 p.m., the sheriffs office said. She failed to yield the right of way and collided with a westbound 2010 Ford Edge driven by Welty, the sheriffs office said.
Yarbrough was cited for failure to yield, the sheriffs office said.
Assisting at the crash scene were the Washington Township Fire Department, Mac and Bobs Towing, and Franks Towing.
