Woman taken to hospital after HATS accident

An 81-year-old Findlay woman was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital as a precaution after a collision between a HATS bus and an Ottawa man at 4:17 p.m. Friday, according to the Findlay Police Department.

Joseph Ramsey, 71, of Findlay, was driving a HATS bus west on West Main Cross Street near the I-75 southbound off-ramp. Paul Augsburger, 64 of Ottawa, was coming off the ramp in a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 and attempting to turn east onto West Main Cross Street.

Ramsey and Augsburger both claimed to have a green light and collided in the intersection. There were no independent witnesses, according to the Findlay Police, and it was unclear who had the green light, so no citations were issued.

The woman, Phyllis Schultz, was transported by Hanco to Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Minor damage to both vehicles was reported and both were driven away.
