A fire damaged a Findlay business early Monday morning in the 300 block of East Sandusky Street.
Findlay firefighters were called to BG Towing, 316 E. Sandusky St., at 5:46 a.m. Smoke was showing from the building when firefighters arrived, prompting fire officials to bring in a second shift, according to the Findlay Fire Department.
The fire was discovered in the office area and an overhead storage area at the business, according to firefighters. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which was contained to that area. The office sustained some fire damage, and smoke was reported throughout the rest of the business and in part of the attached Carpets Direct warehouse, fire officials said.
Firefighters remained at the scene until 8:45 a.m.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
