An early morning fire drove two families from an apartment building in the 400 block of Washington Street on Monday.
According to Findlay Fire Department officials, the fire was electrical in nature and caused about $5,000 in damage on the second floor of the building at 418 Washington St.
Fourteen firemen responded to the fire at about 1 a.m. The fire was knocked down within 10 minutes of responding, officials said.
The families’ names have not been released.
The Red Cross provided temporary housing, food, and clothing to the families, according to a press release.
