Wyandot woman injured on Ohio 53 Friday night

UPPER SANDUSKY — A rural Upper Sandusky woman was injured Friday night after allegedly jumping out of a moving vehicle in the 10000 block of Ohio 53, west of Upper Sandusky, the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Jeremy P. George, 40, of rural Upper Sandusky, was driving a Dodge truck westbound around 9:51 p.m. when he got involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, Tonya R. Harvey, 38, he told the sheriff’s office.
George said Harvey opened the front-passenger-side door and jumped out while the truck was going 55 mph, the sheriff’s office reported.
Harvey was transported to the Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room, where she was immediately transferred by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, where she was listed in stable condition in the surgical intensive care unit, the sheriff’s office reported.
The incident is under investigation and alcohol is believed to be a factor, the sheriff’s office reported.
