Telephone scam targeting seniors

The Hancock County Agency on Aging, which operates the Senior Center in Findlay, is warning about a telephone scam that is targeting seniors.
A company claiming to be the “Hancock County Senior Center” is calling seniors in the area and asking to set up an appointment at the senior’s home to discuss the purchase of burial plots.
The callers are asking seniors for personal information, and are calling each senior four to 10 times.
The Agency on Aging is urging seniors to not give out any information to these callers.
The Hancock County Agency on Aging and the Senior Center do not ever call and solicit seniors.
