Dozens of Second Amendment supporters are expected to openly carry their firearms Saturday during a march through Findlay.
The rally serves as a visible reminder that those who can legally purchase a firearm may carry it openly without a permit, said Jeremy Gensler, of Bowling Green, president of Northwest Ohio Carry.
“People don’t know they’re allowed to open carry in the state of Ohio,” Gensler said.
Participants will meet at 4 p.m. near Best Buy on the 1800 block of Tiffin Avenue. They intend to walk east to Wal-Mart and back, Gensler said.
Gensler said he notified the Findlay Police Department. About 30 people have confirmed they will join, Gensler said.
Courier reporter Ryan Dunn will have more in tomorrow’s newspaper.
