Hancock Structural Steel receives grant

Hancock Structural Steel has received a grant from American Electric Power’s Ohio Economic Development Rate Stabilization Program.

The $14,000 grant will allow the company, which manufactures structural steel for the building industry, to bring three-phase power to their existing facility at 813 E. Bigelow Ave.

“The Rate Stabilization Grant Program was designed with partnerships in mind.  AEP Ohio is delighted to partner with Hancock Structural Steel to encourage their growth, the creation of new jobs, and the retention of existing jobs in Hancock County,” said Randy Payne, AEP’s manager of community affairs.

“We are grateful for the ongoing support of AEP to our local businesses,” said Tony Iriti, economic development director for the Findlay-Hancock County Alliance. “The grant money that Hancock Structural Steel has received is a great vehicle to improve and retain production in Hancock County.”
