Blanchard cresting at Ottawa, water recedes elsewhere

The Blanchard River at Ottawa appears to be cresting at about 25.5 feet, which is just about 18 inches below “moderate” flood stage there.

Otherwise, other streams and creeks are returning to within their banks throughout northwestern Ohio, although the National Weather Service has a flood warning in effect through 1 p.m. today.

Then, the cold weather returns with some snow showers possible today and Tuesday, and a low close to zero degrees possible on Thursday.
