As the weather and road conditions improve, roadway warnings have been downgraded or dropped in most area counties.
Hardin County remainsÂ onÂ aÂ Level 2Â alert. Level 2 means, “Roadways are extremely hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who feel it necessary to travel should be on the roadways.”
Putnam CountyÂ downgraded its alert to Level 1.Â Â Level 1 means, “Roadways are snow-covered and icy. Drive carefully.”
Other area counties, including Hancock, haveÂ canceledÂ their alerts.
